I have a confession to make. Sometimes my kids don’t listen the first time.

A lot of my homeschool days involve helping my 9, 11 and 15 year old move from knowing what they need to do to actually getting it done. DoDones grew from trying to make that easier with something visual, tactile, and fun!

It’s also become a family project. Our kids give us feedback on the designs, help decide what works and what doesn’t, run the 3D printers, and make their own task images. Sometimes that means drawing pictures. Sometimes it means taking ridiculous photos of themselves having big emotions over dishes that need to be put up, or grinning with spinach stuck in their teeth.

That has become one of our favorite parts of DoDones. The kids aren’t just being handed another chore chart. They can help make it theirs, decide what they want help remembering, and have some fun with it.

We use DoDones for chores, homeschool, routines, and all the little things that are easier when kids can see what needs to happen and get the satisfaction of physically marking it done.

Where they are made

Every DoDone is drawn, printed and put together here, at the same table we eat at. Nothing is bought in and nothing is made anywhere else.

We hope other families have as much fun making DoDones their own as we have.
